There is no year without Vanilla Ninja girls taking part in Eesti Laul. 3 years ago, Lenna performed there as a special guest. 2 years ago, Piret and Lenna tried their luck in the competition, but none of them was chosen to represent Estonia on the Eurovision Song Contest 2010. Last year both Lenna and Piret were the hosts of the Estonian preselections for the Eurovision 2011. This year Lenna will fight her way to become Estonian representative on ESC 2012, which is to be held in Baku, Azerbaijan. The song Mina jään was chosen one of the 20 semi-final songs to compete in the Eesti Laul 2012. It had been composed by Mihkel Raud, the lyrics had been written by Lenna Kuurmaa and the track is performed by the band Lenna. Semi-finals will take place on February 18th and February 25th 2012 and the big final will be held on March 3rd 2012.
